2 in a row…Proctor and Gamble purchases ZIRH

zirh2Proctor and Gamble purchases another men’s grooming line in less than a month!  ZIRH, founded in 1995 in New York City, markets itself as only using natural oils and extracts and never testing on animals. Although I am not sure if this purchase was as large as the June 3rd purchase of The Art of Shaving, it certainly was not a small one.  Proctor and Gamble has made major purchases of men’s grooming lines in the past years  – Gillette,  The Art of Shaving, and now ZIRH.  This is a significant purchase for the world of Men’s Grooming.

    This isnt a good thing! Im sure the’ll turn them both of them into “mass” skin care lines which will make them lose their appeal for many of us.

      Ryan, thanks for your comment. As I am sure many people share your sentiment (myself included), we sometimes are forced to use lemons to make lemonade. The upside to this is that it proves that men’s groooming continues to be a viable and growing industry. An example that gives me hope is Estee Lauder taking over Aveda back in 1997. They kept the existing Aveda concept, and gave the company stable feet so they could expand and continue their focus on delivering quality products.
