Movember: 2 Easy Mustache Styles & How to Get Them!

staches2It’s hard to believe, but soon we will be exchanging holiday gifts and ringing in the New Year! But before the festivities kick off, most of us will be working on achieving a great looking mustache during the month of Movember.”

For many of us, growing a mustache isn’t all that easy… A lot of guys wait up to 3 weeks before they successfully have a mustache that can be styled or shaped. So it’s a good idea to keep this in mind this before the 1st of November rolls around. Besides, you want to be able take a picture of the finished product to show everyone who supported you, right?

So if you’re one of those guys who’s mustache literally grows at a snail’s pace, here are 2 mustache styles that are easy to achieve, and will definitely stand out.

The Natural (Shadow in Feature Img.)

This is a popular style worn by many who prefer minimal maintenance. It can be easily achieved in the span of 4 weeks because not much length is required in order for it stand out.

Here’s how you get it!

–      Start by cleanly shaving the cheeks, chin and neck. The mustache hair should not extend more than 1/2 inch past the sides of the mouth. Use trimmers to trim the hairs just above the top lip.

The Pencil (Coleman in Feature Img.)

This look is often worn by men in the armed forces and was made famous by Clark Gable. The only thing you need to add to this style is a little bit of sophistication. The Pencil style can make even the slowest growing mustache seem full!

Here how to get it!

–      Start by cleanly shaving the cheeks, chin and neck. The mustache hair should not extend more than 1/2 inch past the sides of the mouth. With the use of a razor, cleanly shave directly below the nose, leaving a flat, thin line of hair approximately 1/4 inch in height just above the upper lip.
