There aren’t many distinguishable scents like Pinaud–Clubman After Shave Lotion. Notes like orange, bergamot, lemon, jasmine, orange flower and musk have made this choice of after-shave the “go-to” in most barber shops. It’s the nostalgic effect that makes every barber service “incomplete” without a splash of the good ‘ole Clubman! I guess staying relevant for almost 100yrs can do that sort of thing…
Of course you know, I maintain a strong stance on keeping ALL alcohol based splashes off of the face, especially after a shave. But there is nothing wrong with applying it to non-shaved areas (i.e. back & sides of the neck). So if you’re a barber looking to create memories or bring a few back, here’s the splash that will do the trick. Or, if you’re a consumer just looking to use a fragrance that has been a go-to scent for men for almost a century. Here’s your pick!

Very good stuff! I have a bottle in my regular rotation. I have a question for you though. I tend to have pretty oily skin and aftershave balms make my face feel more oily. I like the alcohol splashes since they keep my face dry. Is there an alternative?
Hi Nick, unfortunately all great aftershave balms are designed to heal & moisturize. So the oiliness you may be feeling after applying one is the moisturizing component of that balm. I am very familiar with 3-in-1 Post Shave by Lab Series, and I do know that it is light enough to do it’s job and also allow for a moisturizer to be used and not feel oily. So give that one a try!
Thanks for the comment!
