I like to compare the benefits of wearing eye cream to stretching; you don’t know the benefits of doing it daily until you wake up one morning and can’t tie your shoes!
Eye cream works the same way.
It’s a supplement that can aid your eyelids in getting the necessary care it needs, even though you feel it doesn’t seem “that” important at the time. The eyelid has the thinnest skin on the body, and can be easily affected by pollution, climate change, fatigue, dehydration, sickness and of course age. And, since your eyes are the primary focal point for all face-to-face conversations, it can reveal more than we honestly want.
There are eye creams that contain ingredients that can tighten the skin (i.e. caffeine, retinol & vitamin C), and there are creams that contain ingredients designed to lighten the eyelids (i.e. vitamin K) for those who struggle with dark circles. But whatever prescription, they will all aid in keeping this very thin area of the skin moist.
So it won’t be the end of the world if you choose not to use it, but then again, you won’t know how you’ll feel about that decision until you’re older!
