Ears… We have two of them. So how do we make sure that they both work well? What I mean is, how can we keep them clean to make sure that our hearing is at it’s maximum potential?
Of course when we were growing up, we were taught several ways (Q-tips, ear washes etc.), but how about an ear candle? It’s an old but very effective way of removing unwanted earwax. The “candle” is wickless, hollow, and made of wax paper in the shape of a funnel. To get started, you place the narrow end inside the ear, and light the other end like you would a regular candle. As the waxed paper burns, it creates a warm vacuum that melts away and draws the wax out of the ear canal.
It’s a surprisingly painless procedure that produces results that no Q-tip will ever match!
Quick story, I mentioned this item to a client in the barbershop a while ago and he shouted, “you’ll burn your hair off!” My answer to him was, “if you burn your hair off with this candle, you probably shouldn’t be using Q-tips either!”
Now, let me be honest. Yes, there is fire… so make sure you take the necessary steps to protect yourself. The first time I tried it, I made sure to have someone nearby that could help me gage the candle’s burn rate. But I promise it isn’t rocket science. So give it a try, you’ll be amazed at the results!
