I don’t know about you, but somedays I feel like “back-to-school” time could also be known as “empty your wallet! season”. Between new clothes, school supplies and little league dues I’m just happy if I end up with enough spare change in my pocket to grab coffee in the morning. Hey, we’re all looking to find ways save money this time of year! And as a barber, I can completely see the need to “stretch” your haircut from time to time. So for those of you dads who have to trade your haircut this month for your son or daughter’s new back-to-school kicks, this is for you:
So here are few ways you can still look like you got a clean cut, while saving some MAJOR COIN. Besides that’s the whole reason you’re not seeing your barber more often… right?
The easiest haircut choice is opting to cut your hair really short (i.e.dark caesar, light caesar or buzz). Doing this yourself or asking a friend to trim it down for you is not as complicated as you think. Or, cutting it short and allowing it to grow, while taking advantage of the different looks and styling options. This choice could potentially go for several months!
If none of these fit, keep a pair of trimmers handy.
Use these trimmers to do weekly cleanups along the back of the neck and around the ears.
As your hair continues to grow, invest in an extra hold gel (that doesn’t flake), a pomade or hair wax. These super hold products will definitely stretch your hairstyle a few more weeks.
And there you have it, a few quick and easy hair grooming tips designed to save you money. ~ You’re welcome! 😉
